ABET’s newest offering – Recognition of Credentials – is designed for skills-based, non-degree learning offerings—often referred to as microcredentials, stackable credentials, certificates or other career-advancing educational experiences.
The review is 100% virtual, conducted by vetted and trained Credential Evaluators (CEVs) and follows a clear, structured pathway.

A Lean, Thorough Process
ABET accepts applications three times a year for Credentials to be reviewed. If an application is accepted, a Self-Assessment form is completed by the Credential Providers, followed by a virtual Review.
There are 3 review cycles per year, with recognition decisions delivered at the end of each period.
